Meet Cheryl Fawcett
Born: July 25, 1953 Bethesda Naval Hospital, Washington D.C.
Born Again: September 1, 1959 Capital Heights MD
Baptized: July 1960 Capital Baptist Church, Washington D.C.
Called to ministry: Summer age 15 Camp PAMADEVA, Hanover, PA
College: Baptist Bible College, Clarks Summit, PA. BRE in Bible, emphasis in Elementary Education. 1975.
Grad Training: Wheaton Graduate School, Wheaton, IL. MA Christian Ministries. 1977.
Doctoral study: Trinity International University, Deerfield, IL. Ph.D. Educational Studies. Dissertation: Self-Concept & social games in religious education: The AWANA Case. 1991.
Through over two decades of preparing youth workers for ministry in the US and around the world, Dr. Fawcett has launched over 250 youth servants. It is characteristic of her ministry to build strong ties with her alumni supporting them in prayer as they follow God?s leading around the globe. Of special delight are awards chapel days were those that are diligent are recognized and rewarded.
Water is everywhere in San Diego, so for recreation and relaxing, Cheryl has taken up kayaking. She mostly paddles in Mission Bay where the water is calm, the sky is very blue, and the distractions are few. You might see her floating along the shore bird watching or paddling hard to see the sights, either way be assured that this new past time is refreshing.
